Sagaleh Sajo Daulu

Oh my God! I can’t believe it’s been over a month since the last time I took photos of my outfit and it’s already the second month of the year. How crazy is that? It has, indeed, been a major whirlwind of a month and I almost had no time at all to catch myself. The second week of the year got me wrapped up as part of the committee for Hatching Academy Bootcamp 2021—believe me, that had towered over me for over a month. The event stretched out into the weekend, which meant I had to work all seven days of that week—which was fine, because it was enjoyable, though incredibly exhausting.

The weekend afterward was spent at my beloved Agung‘s nieces’ house—I love them so much and I’m glad they seem to love me back! They’re just so cute!—so that’s another weekend sealed off with tons of activities. It was only last weekend that I got a bit of down time, so I used the chance to find a new place to eat and have these photos taken—then some siblings quality time on Sunday. Phew! January, am I right?

Let me talk a little bit about this little eatery here: it is actually three little vendors in one! First, there’s Rumah Sagaleh, which is a coffee place with a great selection of beverages—coffee and non-coffee alike—as well as hearty meals and lite bites. Then there’s also Thirsty & Hungry, who offers a sumptuous, juicy variety of burgers—we tried the Classic Cheese and Hungry ones. Lastly, there’s also Gambiro’s Kitchen who specialises in premium grilled chicken shiumai—and, damn, are they absolute delights!

Not only is the menu filled with mouth-watering items, the place is also incredibly cozy with the best interior decor and lighting. Although we’ve only just found it, Agung and I had returned to it for these photos—and we feel we might come back more often.

On another note, I’ve been on a roll with reading lately. I bought four books in January alone—two new, two used—and been reading one of them all month. Also, I feel like I’m starting to get the grip of 2021 and got over January blues, so I’m hoping to live more intentionally from now on.

What’s been going on with you the first month of 2021?
