Oh my God, how long has it been since the last time I showed you any analog frames? The last time was in 2023—almost 3 years ago, that is wild! Since then, my camera has lain dormant somewhere on my desk. It wasn’t until last weekend when my office (in collaboration with ASICS and Labrana) hosted a street photography tour, did I finally get my hands on some film photos. The tour was held twice that day, for which my new friend Tapian and I signed up.
Each participant was given a disposable camera to capture the sights of the streets. There was a whole workshop before we hit the streets, on how to use the camera and how to use the film—but Tapian and I missed that part as we caught up with the crowd when they set out to explore Cipete. Since we were late, we almost didn’t get our disposable cameras, but I asked for mine and we ended up sharing between the two of us. And these are some of the photos that we both took.

The route was pretty straightforward. A lot of our clients from ASICS came along as well, so it was like a little bonding moment. We took to the back alleys of Cipete, which some of us have been to, while some others haven’t. We passed by the alley where I had these photos taken a couple years ago. Oh, Cipete is such a dear neighbourhood for me. We walked for one and a half hours before we made it back to Urban Forest, where the rest of our string of events took place. But that’s a story for another time. Watch this space.
