We (Refuse to) Grow Up

The year’s just starting and I’m still winding down from the festivities of the previous month. Thankfully, I’ve still got some photos and posts lined up and ready to go, so hope you like this pre-prepped content—and some others following soon. Sometime in December Agung and I visited We Refuse to Grow Up, a small exhibition held by Thinking Room for the launch of their anniversary publication—and when I say small, I mean one-room small. The exhibition is literally that—a book launching—and you can see the whole thing just by entering the room. Again, emphasis on the small.

The book contains their works in the past 15 or so years—in its entirety or not, I’m not sure. In the exhibition, you get to have a little sneak peek of the inside of the book. As you can see, prints also line the walls, each with an accompanying copy underneath that expand the concept. These prints can be purchased along with the book—although not in this size—and each one is only available in three copies. The exhibition already ended weeks ago, but I think you can still purchase the book on their Tokopedia.

Have you ever had that incredible moment when you tried on old items in your wardrobe and found that they fit you again? Yep, this is what happened to me on this day! If you remember, this pair of pants were actually acquired two years ago from a garage sale event. They haven’t fit me for the majority of this year, so I just gave up trying to rock them again. However, the other day, I was just trying them on and couldn’t believe my luck when they fit my waist comfortably. Oh my god! You better believe that I decided to wear them straight away.

The same thing happened with the blazer too—which I acquired much earlier from my stepmom’s wardrobe—so, of course, I had to wear them both. From that, somehow I came up with this autumnal look that seems to fit work better than leisure—the pops of orange really remind me of late October in Germany. And to wear this ensemble in this weather is just perfection! Without meaning to, Agung and I kind of matched up in our caps. Très adorable, no?
