Golden Coffee Hour

Hello, October! It’s been a pretty packed last couple of months, hasn’t it? I thought we’d dial it down to a lowkey chit chat session on this week’s blog. Originally, this post was supposed to be published last week, but since my life update vlog (which I will also include at the end of this post) was to go live then too, I thought I’d give you guys a breather and postpone it to the start of my birthday month. What a perfect coincidence! Let’s take it easy a little bit, grab your own cup of coffee and sit down as we catch up on each other’s lives? Sounds good? Cool, let’s go!

Before I start, let me say a few words about the photos and the outfit. First of all, the photos were taken during Agung’s and my weekend stroll to the relatively-newly opened Toko Kopi Tuku in Gelora Bung Karno. If you’ve been reading this blog for a while, you might notice how much we love this local coffee shop chain—heck, I’ve blogged about 3 of its locations in different posts. This one is probably the most majestic of its outlets, although it turns out only the second floor belongs to them.

Okay, now the outfit. Most of the items in this outfit were thrifted, but I’d like to direct your attention to the cap that I just recently bought. I know, I know, it’s not the most ethical fashion choice to make. I hope the fact that it was bought from a local artist and small business helps justify my purchase—it’s made by Replay Repliy. To redeem myself, let me tell you: my skirt was been with me for 11 years. 😱 It’s crazy how well it’s lasted. I will most likely create a reels about this soon—stay tuned to my Instagram.

So I have a little update to share with you—though I probably should keep it secret—that happened after I released my vlog last week. Firstly, I have no idea how that little vlog—not even 10 minutes long—has earned me 13 new subscribers! OH MY GOD 😱 If you’ve just recently subscribed, THANK YOU SO MUCH! I can’t believe I almost reach 100 subscribers! Crazy town, literally crazy town. Secondly, the other day at the office…pretty much everyone at work WATCHED MY VLOG TOGETHER 😱 Crazy town number 2 OMG! And to think that the video that they watch is the one about them is SO META! Really happy to know it’s been very well received. I’m aware that some of my co-workers may be reading this blog, so if you are, here’s a little shout out. Your enthusiasm has got me really pumped to vlog more. Watch this space.

Other than that, my freelance projects have felt really fun to do lately and I’ve got a couple of things cooking—eep! Can’t wait to share with you all! I also want to dedicate a bit of time to properly maintain and manage my Patreon. You know, maybe create a schedule for each reward and all that. That’ll be fun to do. As you probably know, I’m also working on some ideas for merch and hope to start tabling again next year—the last time I did that was probably 2019. I’ve been to a lot of art markets and artist alleys lately, meeting up with some online friends and discovering new artists. They all seem to be having so much fun and I want to get in on that.

Well, that’s all the life updates from me.
Tell me what’s been going on in YOUR life!
