Come As You Are

As you might know, last week was my first anniversary with my beloved Agung. It feels so surreal somehow—both like time flew by in a flash and like it should’ve been longer. We’d been friends for a whole year before we started our relationship, so I suppose that could be why. Looking back, I’ve never felt more like a celebrity than when we first started out—the way people seemed to care so much about our relationship is insane! All I know is that I’ve never been happier than when I’m with him.

For the first time in my entire life, here is someone who sees me as I truly am and demands nothing from me that I cannot give. Someone, who, before he even knew it, made me feel more valuable than I’ve ever felt. We’re both equally broken, yet just as willing to glue each other back together time and time again. So come as you are, for as you’ve accepted me as I am, I will value and cherish you just the way you are.

Lately, I haven’t actually been in the mood for outfit photos. I’m not sure why, but if I had to venture a guess, I would pinpoint to two factors: my weight gain—which makes me hate how I look in photos—and the lack of events or places to go—which is what usually drives me to take photos. However, I still have a few new-to-me pieces that I’d like to show off on the blog.

For starters, there’s this mask from Ikat Indonesia that I absolutely adore. I love the colour and pattern so much! It is relatively cheap in comparison to their usual items, which I think explains the easily unraveling stitches—it already ripped at the seams. I think it was the last purchased clothing item of the year—and I love that it’s ethical! Otherwise, I haven’t had much motivation to dress up and come up with cute outfits. Does anyone really?
